Biotresse™ is a plant-derived fiber powered by Nourie Technologies™, with a responsive fiber system engineered to actively support scalp comfort from install to takedown. It is dermatologist-tested, validated hypoallergenic, and the only synthetic braiding fiber independently clinically tested for scalp health benefits.

Nourie Technologies™ is our proprietary fiber system, the innovation platform that makes Biotresse™ different from any other braiding hair on the market. It is a patent-pending platform that Biotresse™ uses under license, the same way professional haircare brands build on proven ingredient systems.

Plant-derived means the fiber core is sourced from fermented plant biomass rather than chlorinated vinyl synthetic fibers (Kanekalon by Kaneka). It does not mean it looks natural or unfinished. In our clinical pilot, participants preferred it over the leading chlorinated vinyl synthetic fibers (Kanekalon by Kaneka) not because it looked different, but because it felt different.

We built Biotresse™ on a plant-derived fiber, not Kanekalon synthetic, independently safety-tested in an IRB-approved study.

Yes. Braiders can register for braider pricing through the For Braiders page (/pro). Wholesale starts at a low minimum, well below the industry norm, and does not require a cosmetology license or a shop. Pricing details are shared when you register.
